Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy

The Jurnal Abdita Naturafarm (J Abdita Naturafarm or JAN) requires a statement on the use of AI in the manuscript, mainly if the authors used AI during the research or preparation of the manuscript.

If AI is used in research, the authors should include the following statement (depending on the capacity of AI used) (Select as needed):

  1. Data analysis and modeling: Machine learning algorithms (e.g., Python, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow) include specific algorithms or techniques to analyze data sets and predict outcomes.
  2. Data preprocessing: AI-assisted techniques [specify the technique] are used for data cleaning, feature selection, and transformation to prepare the dataset for analysis.
  3. Visualization: AI-assisted tools, such as [Tableau and Matplotlib with AI extensions], create graphs, charts, and visual summaries.

Suppose AI was used to prepare or write the manuscript. In that case, the author should include a statement on the use of AI-based support applications (such as ChatGPT and Quillbot, or equivalent applications) for (select as appropriate):

  1. Language improvement (use of AI to improve grammar, sentence structure, and readability of the manuscript)
  2. Technical Writing Assistance (use of AI in drafting complex technical descriptions more effectively)
  3. AI summarization (use of AI applications to briefly outline the main points of the findings and conclusions)
  4. Generate scientific content, interpret data, and draw conclusions
  5. Simulation and Forecasting: AI frameworks, predictive modeling, and simulations are performed to validate research hypotheses.

Furthermore, the authors make the following statement sentence:

All authors declare that all AI application processes have been reviewed and approved by the authors to ensure the integrity and reliability of the results. The authors solely interpret the results and final decisions presented in this article.

If the author did use no AI assistance, it is only necessary to express the following statement sentence:

All authors declare that no artificial intelligence tools or methodologies were utilized at any research and preparation/writing stage.

The above statement excludes the use of grammar and spelling checkers (such as Grammarly), referencing (Mendeley, EndNote, Zetero, etc.), statistics (SPSS, MINITAB, etc.), and other tools.
